Sandra Lynne's Story
Life
Hi everyone,
I'm enjoying life with my teenage son, Ryan, still at home with me. I work at an amazing job teaching children to enjoy science in a program called "Mad Science". It is my dream job because I get to spend quality time with children (my favourite type of people) and turning them on to science is awesome. It was always my favourite subject at school but this program takes science to the kids with unbelievable hands-on experiments. I'm also a writer, working on a book about my late uncle who died a hero after the sinking of his ship on April 16, 1945. It was the last Canadian ship to be sunk and his story begs to be told.
I haven't ventured far from where I grew, still living in East York. I love it here because it is like a small town encased in a big city. I have, however, lived in Cuba where I have spent more than 20 years doing humanitarian aid work. I met and married my husband, Pedro, in Varadero, Cuba but currently we are living in separate countries. Thankfully, we continue to be best friends.

ing/sketching/painting, sports of all kinds (but these days I'm more of a spectator), music of all kinds (yes, with a teen I love hip hop and some rap but no country, please), spending time with friends and enjoying my little dogs, Pooki and Misha. I've spent a lifetime volunteering in everything from politics to the Surgical Day Care Unit of St. Mikes Hospital. I'd have to say, though, that the best time I spend is with my incredible son, Ryan, who is such an amazing kid. He keeps me young!
There is someone from my Oak Park Junior High school days that I would love to get in touch with. If anyone knows where David Scott is, let me know. David lived across the street from Oak Park and he was my special guy until he moved away to Scarborough. I've never forgotten him and would love to know how he is doing now. I heard that he was in the Security business but I'm not 100% sure of that. So if you can help me find David, I'll be in your debt.
Life is good - as good as you make it! If we went to school together, I hope you will get in touch with me. Until then, enjoy every day.
